The client needed to reliably maintain and further develop the eSkot application, which was originally developed on the .NET platform. The internal development team needed to focus on professional processing of breeding and pedigree data and was looking for an external partner who could take over the technical part of development and ensure modernization of the application, including adding new features and ensuring better integration.

We took over the existing application and created an interface that allows not only maintaining and updating existing code on the .NET platform but also developing new modules on the Java platform. This ensures that all modules, regardless of the original programming language, communicate as one coherent whole. We gradually replaced older SOAP web services with a more modern REST API, which simplified and streamlined data communication. We implemented a new module for mating, which generates an ideal mating plan based on breeding values. We also added comprehensive lists of breeding females and calves, which allow processing animal lists across stables and farms, thereby improving the flexibility and clarity of data records.
